Marcia Cooper

Marcia Cooper has lived in Newton since 1978. As a retired art teacher, she is an active member of the local arts community who has shown her work in numerous public exhibits.  A current member of the Charles River Chamber Environment Committee, she also serves as a board member of the environmental nonprofit organization Green Newton, of which she was President for 18 years.  She especially enjoys mentoring youth volunteers in their efforts to promote climate solutions in our community. Additionally, she has been serving on Newton's Youth Commission Advisory Board since the fall of 2024.
